Activities

The Kobe University Symphony Orchestra was established in 1915, making it one of the oldest amateur and university orchestras in Japan. We perform two major concerts each year: the Summer Concert in May and the Regular Concert in December. Recently, we’ve welcomed renowned guest conductors such as Yusuke Kimoto and Hiroyuki Odanoya, and we perform at prestigious venues like the Amagasaki Cultural Center and the Hyogo Performing Arts Center KOBELCO Hall.

Activity frequency

Tuesdays and Thursdays from 17:00 to 20:00, and on Saturday afternoons (exact times vary).

Place

2,000 yen per month. Additional costs include around 30,000 yen for training camps and a ticket quota for each performance (around 6,000 yen per concert). The total yearly expenses, including participation in two concerts and training camps, may reach 150,000 yen.
