Kobe University Newsnet Committee

Group name

Kobe University Newsnet Committee

Activities

We are a student-run press organization that reports on Kobe University news. We cover cultural events, sports competitions, and school festivals, as well as conduct investigative reporting on important university issues. The committee was founded after the Great Hanshin-Awaji Earthquake, so we also focus heavily on disaster-related reporting. Every year, we conduct long interviews with the families of Kobe University students who lost their lives in the earthquake, and we cover the memorial flower-laying ceremony held on January 17th.

Activity frequency

Two to three times a week.

Place

Meeting rooms on campus. We frequently go off-campus for reporting.

Expense

Around 10,000 yen per year.
