(Relationships among members) Broccoli: There are a lot of calm people in our club. Potato: Yes, they are. I think there are many kind and warm people. B: There are no strict hierarchical relationships at all, and everyone gets along well. P: Really. We go out with seniors and juniors. B: We often go out to eat together too. P: Yes, that's true. We have girls' parties, and seniors and juniors go out to eat together. B: We also went to Hirakata park. P: I went to Hirakata park during the summer vacation! B: That was fun. B: Some of us found seniors who share the same hobbies, and went to the goods shop. We often go to mandolin concerts together and go out to dinner afterwards. P: There are a lot of seniors who are in the same department or faculty, so we get to know each other and learn a lot from them. B: We often get to know each other by listening to senior's stories and receiving lots of tests and textbooks. (Favorite Event) Greenpeace: Since I joined the club, summer camps have been the most attractive part of the club. Tomato: This summer was also a lot of fun with barbecues, practices, and other events. G: Other than that, we have concerts and part practice sessions, where I can get to know my seniors well, and we have a teacher-student system. T: Even if you are a beginner, your seniors will teach you carefully, so you don't have to worry. Also, we spent a lot of time practicing, so we feel a great sense of accomplishment after the regular concert. G: I think the regular concert is a great time to get to know each other because you can talk with people from different grades at the party afterward. (Balancing with other activities) P: The frequency of activities is twice a week, on Wednesdays and Saturdays, for about 3-4 hours. It's not that much, so it's good. B: Some people do voluntary training, so we can increase the number of practicing hours. P: Does everyone come to the club relatively often? B: Yes, everyone comes. P: There are a lot of ensembles this time of year, so everyone comes. B: We have a concert in December, so in December and November we will have three times a week, but we are all trying to do our best. P: How does this affect your schoolwork? B: We play twice a week, so it's totally compatible with studying. P: I can study hard and play the mandolin as well. B: I don't have club activities from a week before the test, so I can focus on the test, so it doesn't affect my schoolwork too much. B: I have a part-time job about three times a week. P: I also have a part-time job about three times a week. I think we can do both of those things. I think there are many students who work 3 times a week and do club activities twice a week. I think everyone is working hard at their part-time job. B: Some people work two different part-time jobs. P: There are people who do two part-time jobs and then come to the club. B: There are also people who work part-time before their club activities. P: There are also people who say, “I'm going to work after today”. B: They can manage both part-time jobs and their schoolwork. P: There are also a lot of students who participate in other club activities and circles, so I think it's possible to manage both. (Group Attraction) T: There are a lot of events. We have a lot of events such as regular concerts, to play with each team, summer camps, etc. G: Last year, we went bowling, and we divided into different grades and competed against each other. It's a lot of fun. T: What else is there to do? G: I think the other thing is that it is easy for beginners to start. I started as a beginner, and I think I'm starting to learn how to play now that I'm in my third year, so I think it is suitable for university students who want to start playing music in a relaxed manner. T: And since it's twice a week, it's easy to manage part-time jobs and study. It's full of charm. G: I would like you to come just for the experience. (Ending) B: We will be performing on the 23rd. Please come and see our performance. All: We are waiting for you!

(Opening) Sumaho:I am Sumaho.I am a member of Truss, a support circle for international students. We have many events such as summer camps and Christmas events where you can interact with other international students, so please join Truss. (Relationships among members) S:What kind of people are there in Truss? Like faculty. Hiroki:Truss has about 250 people overall, regardless of science or humanities, and about 90 international students? S:We are science majors, though it is said that many students at Truss are from the Global Human Sciences. We are totally science oriented. Is the hierarchical relationship frankly strict? H:There is no strict hierarchy. Truss has international students, so no matter what your age or nationality, we all work together. S:Truss has graduate students. H:Some of the international students at Truss are graduate students. S:Do you hang out with other members on your days off? H:I haven't hung out yet, but didn't you go to the pool during summer vacation, Mr. Sumaho? S:Pool? Oh, I couldn't go to that. We have been going out to yakiniku and other places, but it hasn't been that long since we formed (Truss), so it's just the beginning. (Favorite Event) S:What are some of your favorite activities at Truss since you joined the circle? H:My favorite activity of the six months was going to the beach. We went to the beach, swam together, played volleyball, and bought and ate ice cream. Since I had so much time, I was able to talk a lot with international students and ask them why they came to Kobe University, and I enjoyed learning new ways of thinking. How about you, Mr. Sumaho? S:The most fun I had was at the Christmas party. Last year I dressed up as Santa Claus. I didn't prepare any presents, but I had a great time talking with the university and international students, and that was my favorite activity. (Balancing with other activities) Yuno:Regarding balancing activities with other activities, what is the frequency of activities and participation rate? Masato:The frequency of activities is about 3 or 4 events a month, and the style is to participate when you want to, so it's like some events have a high participation rate and some have a low participation rate. Y:There are a lot of parties. How does it affect your academics? M:I think the good thing about Truss is that you can choose whether or not to participate according to your own schedule, so you can participate according to your own academic schedule. YI agree. How often do you work part-time? M:I don't work part-time that much, but there are people around me who work 5 times a week. Y:That’s me. M:I believe that part-time work and circle activities can be compatible. Y:What do you do part-time? M:I am a smart phone salesman and I only work about 4 times a month. Y:I work 5 days a week in a pub. (Group Attraction) M: Now I want to ask you from me, I want you to shortly summarize the good points of Truss. Y:The first is that you can relate to and make friends with a wide range of people, regardless of whether they are Japanese or international students. Second, Truss also has events related to Japanese culture, so Japanese people can rediscover this kind of culture, international students can learn, and both parties can experience such culture. Third, Truss has a free and open policy, so you can participate easily and casually. M:Oh. That's nice. For me, I think it is very attractive to be able to hang out with foreign students on holidays. I think the appeal of this circle is that we can provide a place to study English in Japan. (Ending) S:Truss will be exhibiting at the Fall Welcome Event on October 21 and 22! There will be a Halloween party on October 31 and a welcome party on November 4. Please come and join us. Bye~!

(Opening) Yuriko: Hello, I am Yuriko Okuda, the representative of Kobe University News Net Committee. Tsuta: and Tsuta, vice-chair. Y: We are a student news organization of Kobe University, and we are active in sending out information related to the university through SNS and online articles. (Favorite Event) Y: First, what was the most memorable or enjoyable part of your activities? T: The most memorable experience was last year's Rokko Festival. I was able to interview the people who were running the Rokko Festival and hear how they were doing their best. I also had a lot of fun seeing the people who had stalls in the clubs and club activities, which you don't usually see. Y: It's fascinating to be able to see the other side of the story. (Relationships among members) Y: Then, secondly, I would like to talk about the members and the atmosphere in the group. T: Everyone is very friendly. Y: Yes, yes. Because we are a small group, there is a flat atmosphere regardless of whether we are seniors or juniors, and even the juniors express their opinions. T: There are a lot of unique people here, and I feel that they are asserting what they want to do. Y: That's right. (Balancing with other activities) Y: Next, the third theme. Can it be compatible with other activities? T: How do you manage both? Y: I am also involved in an off-campus organization, and this other organization is quite a heavy one, but I am doing a lot of work in that one and also doing my best in News Net as a representative, so it is a bit difficult to balance both. But I think I can do it. T: The other members are also managing both, right? Y: Yes, I think so. I think more than half of the members are doing both. (Group Attraction) Y: Finally, the fourth, in a few words, what attracts you to club activities. T: I think the most attractive thing about club activities is that you get to talk to and interact with people you normally wouldn't have the chance to talk to. Y: I agree. I also think it is attractive that I can shine a spotlight on Kobe University and let many people know about new attractions and problems that have yet to be revealed. (Ending) Y: Newsnet will be exhibiting all day at the Fall Newcomers. If you are interested, please come and join us. Everyone: We are waiting for you!
